Diver Hiding in Kelp

Diver hiding in kelpMy friend Konstantin partially hidden in brown seaweeds. I use the word “seaweeds” because it is commonly used for this kind of water plants, but they are actually kelp. I’ve made this picture just out of Matheson Bay in Leigh on the left side of the beach. We swam through the narrow channel between the coast and the island and then turned to the left. There are those steep walls with deep cracks mostly covered with kelp there. It’s easy to disappear under the kelp in that area. Only the streams of bubbles are the mark where the diver is hiding. The visibility was not great on that day, yet it was a pleasant dive, we saw a couple of octopuses.
