Murrays Bay Winter Macro
This was fun. I went for a winter shallow dive to one spot where nudibranches are often plentiful. I could not find a spot to par my car so decided to go home along the east coast of North Shore City. I stopped in Murrays Bay where I saw a snorkeler looking for something in shallow water. From the wharf on the left side of the beach I could see a bright orange sea star on one of its pillars close to the bottom. That could mean only one thing. Water was exceptionally clear that day.
I was not disappointed. It was really clear. My friend Peter Jurcak from Presov would say it was an aquarium. I made a couple of pictures, but spent most of my time collecting fishing weights as the bottom was littered with them.

Viac-menej náhodou som zastavil v Murrays bay, lebo som zbadal vo vode chlapíka so šnorchlom, ako niečo hľadal. Vyliezol som na mólo na ľavej strane pláže a z neho som zbadal jasne oranžovú hviezdicu na dne. To mohlo znamenať jedinú vec … čistú vodu.
Bolo to naozaj tak. Voda bola na miestne pomery veľmi čistá. Peter Jurčák, kamarát z Prešova, by povedal, že to bolo akvárium. Urobil som zopár fotiek, ale nakoniec som strávil väčšinu času zberom rybárskych závaží, ktorými bolo dno doslova pokryté.
