Shallow diving in Mahurangi Harbour: I accidentally discharged my flashlight batteries so all the pictures are in ambient light. Also it was a rainy overcast day so there was not much ambient light either 🙂
Spiny sea star typical for sandy bottoms. It moves surprisingly fast.
Pest Sabella spallanzanii among eel sea grass. The fan worms are unfortunately very common, the grass is a pleasant novelty.
Quite a sad view: so many fan worm specimens on one small rock. They are everywhere, occupying any solid surface. Not much space is left for the usual local fauna.
This is not a B/W picture. I took the picture after the dive. It was raining and so cloudy, all the colours had vanished.
